The theme of the Florence Biennale 2025 is “Light and Darkness.”

For me, light and darkness are a unity that is distinct but not distinct in the world of God’s creation.

I have been writing stories in the language of visual art under the great theme of the light of life for about two years.

However, what I pursue is not the material light that shines in this world. The light that I pursue in the world of art is the light of eternal life. The light of life renews, heals, and restores all created universes, and provides eternal life.

I am certain and confess in faith that this light of life is Jesus Christ, as spoken of in the Bible.

People with different religions and ideologies may feel uncomfortable with this statement. However, there is no need for the art world to criticize, reject, or ignore me for sharing Jesus Christ and the gospel with conviction.

Because we, who live in the light of life, are persons created in the image of God, who must respect and love each other and live as one, not only in the realm of ideology, philosophy, and art, but also in race and religion.

Let us put down criticism, hatred, violence, and war toward each other and enjoy love, freedom, and peace in the light of life.
